This Friday (1/24/14), we’re hosting our third Challenge Detroit  Twitter Discussion! This TweetChat will focus on initiating the conversation on homelessness in Detroit. How do you join the Discussion? Initiating Conversation on Homelessness in Detroit: Friday, January 24, 2014 from 11:30am – 12:30pm Challenge Detroit Twitter Party 01.24.14 widescreen We have these Twitter conversations during our challenges in an effort to increase awareness of our work and to encourage productive discussion and idea generation with the community. This Friday our goal is to increase awareness and stakeholder involvement for our current challenge partner COTS, an organization serving the homeless community in Detroit. COTS (The Coalition on Temporary Shelter) exists to alleviate homelessness by providing an array of services that enable people to achieve self-sufficiency and obtain quality affordable housing. COTS also advocates for long-term solutions to the problems of homelessness. Topics for Discussion:

  • Dangers and challenges the homeless
  • Long-term solutions to the problems of homelessness
  • Increase awareness of an organization serving the homeless community
  • Connect organizations that help the homeless
