This year has been one to remember! As the New Year approaches I think back on all the changes that have taken place this year and how they have shaped my life. Without a doubt one of the biggest surprises this year is moving to Detroit and loving it! I never pictured myself in this amazing city and now it is hard to picture life without it.

While living, working, playing, leading and giving in the city of Detroit over the past 4 months I have grown so much. I have meet people from all over the world; I have painted with a twist, participated in RunThisTown, Stepped in the Motor City Step Show, and so much more! I enjoyed Detroit restaurant week, sat in on a Pistons game, participated in the United Ways Tree lighting and packaged food with Forgotten Harvest (and that’s not even the half of my experiences). Time is moving so fast! We are almost half way through our Challenge Detroit year and there is still so much to do in Detroit! We have so many people to meet, so many challenges to face and so much more of Detroit to Explore.

I am so excited for 2014! I know the best is yet to come! I am also so grateful to be facing this year in the great city of Detroit and with my fellows! No other place I would rather be and no other people I would rather be with!
