Some of the best times I’ve had “playing” in Detroit have been with my fellow fellows. It’s been great getting to know this amazing group of people. Many have become close friends and I’m so glad to know them and have them to share this experience with.
One of my favorites things about moving to a new city is getting visitors and showing them around my new home. This is an ambitious itinerary, but it can be done in a weekend.
I wish I were writing about an upcoming event, but it actually happened in August of 1969. I can’t find out much about it other than this article from the Detroit News. It’s more about Smokey Robinson than the event, but there’s some relevancy for today:

New job working at Chrysler.
New home in Woodbridge.
New friends from Challenge Detroit.
Most anything I can think to say about it feels cliche, (“My, how time flies!”), but really…
