During our last Challenge I had the opportunity to serve on the marketing team for COTS (Coalition of Temporary Shelter). We worked on creating a marketing strategy and video to help strengthen their online presence. During this time, as a cohort, we also volunteered and organized a storage room at COTS. Serving is a pillar of the Challenge Detroit program. In addition to giving back to our partner organizations, each fellow volunteers every month at local nonprofits throughout the city. Since starting the program, I have made it a point to volunteer at many different organizations. I’ve enjoyed meeting new people and building new friendships.
