By most standards of millennial success, I had a completely unimpressive, low key month. No networking events, no important meetings, no big projects finished. But still, I want to share a few memorable moments and (mostly self-proclaimed) “accomplishments”:

  1. Walking down John R with a basketball. It’s amazing the conversation and connection sportzy-looking things can prompt.
  2. Yoga at the Jain temple. I have yet to make it exactly on time, but there’s something special about learning this practice at a place I so closely associate with spirituality.
  3. Chatting with the new general manager of the business next door – La Palma. You know sometimes you meet someone and it feels like they are a long lost Uncle? Yeah, it was that.
  4. Being there to witness a former student play baseball…like a boss.
  5. Helping Billy clear garbage from a vacant lot at the Oakland Avenue Farmers Market
  6. Finally putting choreography to a dance that has been in my mind for years
  7. Helping my sister with homework
  8. Dust proofing my apartment

And that was my month. Nothing that we would consider exciting, particularly impactful, or life changing. But one of the most meaningful months I’ve had this year.

“Real change happens on the level of the gesture. It’s one person doing one thing differently than they did before.” – Cheryl Strayed

Oh, and I switched over to a new team at work. But that’s for another post.

Harsha out.
