Wow. My brother is about to graduate High School. He’s exactly five years and a day younger than me. His birthday’s the day after mine, it’s pretty interesting. I remember when I was graduating High School. Boy I couldn’t wait. There was something a little stifling about High School. I’m not sure how it was for you, but I began to find myself as a person around the 11th grade. By the time I was a senior, I had Senioritis in every way. I was really ready to not be defined by what sport I played and what I wore and who my clique was – not that I was really defined by all that, but those things definitely mattered more than they needed to. Anyways, I’m excited for my brother. I can tell he’s just as ready to move on to cooler things in life. At first, schoolwork didn’t interest him too much, but when it was time to show his academic skills to colleges, he was unstoppable. It’s inspirational, and motivation for me to continue to be someone who can be considered an example. These kids are growing up, and wait for no one! It’s clear he can do whatever he puts his mind to.
