Summer brings with it some great music to the city. Below are some of the shows I’m most excited to see in June!!

Sweater Beats is having a free show on June 5th at Populux. Populux has actually been doing a number of free shows over the last month or so to promote the upgraded venue (fka Magic Stick).

Floetry will be performing with Estelle and Les Nubians at Chene Park on Saturday, June 20th. Couldn’t have picked a better venue for this line up!

Coming out to Detroit from the land down under, Flume is set to put on one stellar show at the Royal Oak Theater on June 24. I loved him so much after the first time I saw him in Austin during SxSW two years ago, that I just had to see him again, just one week later, when I was back in NY. Can’t wait to see what he does in MI.

The Royal Oak Music Theater is killing it with their lineup this month as they bring D’Angelo to grace us with some baby-making tunes on June 27.
