Cerima.pngQuestion: Tell us about your company and what you do.

Answer: The name of the company that I work at is Macro Connect. Macro Connect is a technology consulting firm that specializes in support for mainly small businesses, non profits and schools. Currently at my job my title is IT Consultant; I help with everyday tasks that may need assistance for our various clients.  An example of a task that I may need to do is the backing up of servers or updating particular software.  My role goes much more into depth as well; I also provide training on various technologies and software to schools and anyone that may need it.

Question: Describe an accomplishment or contribution you’ve made at your company.

Answer: The contribution that I have made to the company is becoming an official trainer for our clients.  Being able to provide technology training is important in this field because sometimes people may not understand how to use certain software or equipment.  I put together materials to make the translation on how to use the technology easier. Any questions that the client may have can be sent right to my inbox or cellphone.

Question: What makes working for your company unique?

Answer: Working for my company is unique because for starters, I’m the only female at my company that does IT work.  It is also unique in the sense that I am able to directly use my degree at my job.

Question: Why do you enjoy working in the Detroit community?

Answer: At my job I get to move around a lot and see many different parts of Detroit; we have clients almost everywhere. I love being able to work with the kids, teachers and business owners. I also enjoy working in the Detroit community because there is such a culture blend here in Detroit.

Question: What’s the biggest highlight of working at your company?

Answer: The biggest highlight of working for Macro Connect is that I can explore different opportunities that the company has to offer and I’m grateful for that.
