We are honored to share that on July 15, 2022, Challenge Detroit was awarded the Spirit of Detroit award by the Detroit City Council.
The Spirit of Detroit Award is given out by the Detroit City Council to honor outstanding achievement or service.
We are grateful to have received this for our organization and thank Council Member Scott Benson, and the Detroit City Council, for granting us this award – “in recognition of exceptional achievement, outstanding leadership and dedication to improving the quality of life.”
We were thrilled to announce the news of the award at our 10-Year Anniversary Celebration in Beacon Park, celebrating together with our Fellows, Alumni, host companies, nonprofit partners, staff, board, and supporters.
This award is for all of us – what we have accomplished over ten years in Detroit, has been done together, and it is wonderful to see our City acknowledge our work.
