Photography has always been a passion of mine.  My newest tool in my arsenal to help me capture the perfect shot is my DJI Phantom drone.  Ever since getting mine a year ago I’ve had a great time documenting Detroit from a birds eye view.  Seeing the city from high up not only looks stunning but gives one a new perspective on things.

I can’t help but feel any problems I have are so much smaller and insignificant than they may feel when looking at things from high up.  I recall flying my drone through Rouge Park and wondering, if the residents living nearby only knew how much beauty truly surrounded them, would their opinions of their neighborhood change?

A hobby is more enjoyable, when it brings that same joy to others.  The look on peoples faces when I show them a shot of a Detroit Landmark from a perspective they didn’t think was possible brings me immense amounts of happiness and self pride.  I share with you some of my work, and hope that it brings you the same joy viewing it as it did me creating it.
