Aside from my many explorations on my bike, I also love to participate in all the events that happen in Detroit.  I love attending all the cultural events that Challenge Detroit provides for us, and also love learning about other activities that are sports-focused. I am a huge sports fan, and grew up playing hockey until I started graduate school.  When I moved to Detroit, I wanted to begin playing sports again and joined a handful of sports teams to accomplish my goal.  In the fall, I played on a Metro Detroit flag football team, in the winter I played broomball through ComePlayDetroit, and at the end of the winter I joined a friend from grad school on his indoor roller hockey team. Also, I just registered to play Spring Ice Hockey through ComePlayDetroit.  The options to play in the city are endless, and my energy to do so is never-ending!
