I always believed in having “no mentor” because I never believed in anyone who would invest more in me than myself. However, this opinion changed very recently due to the great mentor I have in Challenge Detroit.

Michelle Morgan, who is a mentor for me through “We Build Character”, is everything I wanted in a mentor. She doesn’t talk down at me; she provides me space and network for me to grow. She encouraged me to text her whenever I need her, and no matter how crazy an idea is, she will always support it.

She is open to any ideas in our mentorship, and encourages me to read more leadership books. Books by Dale Carnegie and Servant Leadership really sharpened my leadership skills.

I would like to use this blog to really thank my great mentor! Thank you very much Michelle for being AWESOME!
