We’re pleased to inform you about our Challenge Detroit Twitter Party (aka “tweet chat”) initiative.

A Twitter party is an organized chat that takes place at a certain time and date on Twitter covering a specific topic. Curious how to join in on a TweetChat or a Twitter Party? Just head over to twitter.com (or use the Twitter app on your smartphone), sign in using your Twitter handle and look up the designated party hash tag (#ChallengeDetroit).

Inaugural TweetChat: Friday, October 18, 2013 from 11:30am – 12:30pm

These virtual chats are open to anyone so feel free to spread the word and join us! Follow along with us using #ChallengeDetroit during the scheduled time and be sure to include the hash tag in your tweets to be a part of the chat.

These twitter parties will take place on the days of our challenges in an effort to increase awareness of our work and to encourage productive discussion and idea generation. The subject for discussion this Friday is revitalization through community art. In our first challenge, we are working with Bleeding Heart Design. Their mission is to evoke emotions that spark positivity in the lives of the people who encounter it.
