These days I find myself not looking too far forward and living in the now. But today, I find myself looking forward to my Challenge Detroit Impact Project, which will take place next month. I’m not looking forward to it because of the particular project, but more because of the different opportunities to impact the city of Detroit.

I am still yet to finalize what my impact project for Challenge Detroit will be, and I believe that is what adds to my excitement. I’m excited because in that month I could create an infrastructure that the city could utilize to organically increase community within neighborhoods within Detroit. Or I could spend my time and energy transitioning an organization that is near and dear to my heart into 501c3 status. And there is also the possibility of collaborating with a couple other Fellows that I now consider to be lifelong friends, and put together a city wide mentoring event for the youth in the city.

I have a few days left to decide which impact project I will dedicate my efforts toward, and I must remember that there are not losers here, there are only winners. One thing about this project that I do know is that this project will be epic. With that in mind I find myself in a position that I am not too familiar with, and that is looking into the future.
