Ah Summer. So hot that touching the metal on my seatbelt hurts, and I can sweat by just standing in place. A far cry from the harsh Detroit winter. Summer though really is when Detroit shines brightest. A new event every day, and bikes paths finally unearthed from the mountains of snow. I’ve found myself enjoying the concerts at Chene Park. I saw Ladysmith Black Mambazo and Sweet Honey on the rocks there and was treated to an amazing concert. One of the things I really appreciate about a lot of shows in Detroit is exposing me to music I’m not too familiar with. It’s a city of great taste!
