This past month I had a wonderful time volunteering at the Cody Rouge High School. The students planned an entire day of work for us and managed all of volunteers as we planted trees, built an outdoor stage, constructed a spiral garden and more. The students were excited and a joy to work with. I loved seeing everyone so happy and engaging together. The most rewarding part of the day was walking away at the end to see how transformed the school grounds had become. It is wonderful to see what we are capable of when we come together to make change.

I signed up to do tree planting! It had been a while since I had played in the dirt with the worms, and the experience was much needed!

Shiani and I had a great time learning how to measure the tree bulbs and create the appropriate hole, but this was so much more fun when we included poem circles and tree planting dances with Brandi and Meiyi!
