I started my health journey as a client at a local fitness boutique “B.You Fitness” in Louisville, KY. Where my love for Barre and Bounce grew with every class. After a year on the client-side of the studio, I became a certified instructor and have made health and fitness a hobby and part-time career.

After moving to Detroit, MI I found a local studio “Live Cycle Delight” to continue my teaching and fitness journey.

Although there are many ways you can better your health and fitness routine, below are my favorite tips to stay motivated and consistent with your fitness journey:

Be Realistic

  • If this is your first time creating a fitness routine start small. Set a goal that is achievable and build onto it. Ex: Start walking 2-3 times a week, once you stay consistent with your walks start incorporating workouts.

Reset, Recharge & Recover

  • It is just as important to focus on recovery. Make sure you take a rest day when needed so you can come back to your next workout stronger. Ex: stretch, foam roll, rest.

Food = Fitness

  • What you are eating and drinking is just as important as your fitness routine. It fuels your body throughout your workouts and helps you recover. Ex: Eat nutrient-dense foods, drink water, and enjoy “cheat” meals in moderation.

Workout for YOU

  • Everyone has different fitness goals and capabilities. What works for your friend might not work for you. Find a fitness style that you enjoy.

Fitness shouldn’t be a punishment. Enjoy the process and celebrate your journey.
