Sarah Gargaro is a graduate of Tufts University, where she studied Political Science and American Studies and was a Tisch Scholar in the Tisch College for Active Citizenship. Sarah is our Fellow at the Detroit Land Bank Authority on the Property Rehab team as the Resource Navigator where she manages special projects and partnerships, like the team’s energy efficiency initiatives.

“As a Project Liaison at the Detroit Land Bank Authority,  Sarah has worked on various Disposition initiatives. Sarah helped coordinate and implement a city-wide Construction Fair to help Detroiters become aware of the many construction opportunities available. Currently, Sarah is our outreach resource navigator for the Rehabbed and Ready program. While in this role Sarah has created partnerships with Walker-Miller, Green Home Institute, and multiple home-buyer counseling organizations. This role is essential to the continued expansion of the program.”

The Detroit Land Bank is a public authority dedicated to returning Detroit’s vacant, abandoned, and foreclosed property to productive use. Our current programs include auction, side lot, community partnership and demolition.

In addition to hosting three Challenge Detroit 2018-2019 Fellows, DLBA was a 2017-2018 Challenge Project partner.
