What are you most looking forward to in Detroit in 2018?

Really just continuing to absorb information from everyone in the city. There are so many unique individuals here that are taking action toward positive change. I’m looking forward to playing volleyball downtown in the summer. I also have a feeling I’m going to find myself in John King Books in the near future.

How do you believe your fellowship will shape your career moving forward?

There is no doubt that the experiences during this fellowship year will have a lasting impact on me moving forward. The opportunities afforded to me this year are challenging me in interesting ways and are allowing for me to learn from all of the talented people the fellowship has surrounded me with… my coworkers, the fellows, Challenge Detroit leadership, and of course the stakeholders throughout the city of Detroit.
