At first I didn’t know what to think about experiencing the 4th of July fireworks in June. However, I have to say it was – AMAZING! Earlier this week I experienced the Detroit fireworks firsthand and they were the most impressive pyrotechnic display that I have ever experienced in person. The display is part of the Detroit-Windsor International Freedom Festival which is a multi-day festival celebrating both the 4th of July and Canada Day during the last week in June.  This year marked the 58th year for the Detroit Fireworks. Over 1 million people attend the event every year.

“Organizers billed the show as one of the largest fireworks displays in the country, with over 10,000 pyrotechnic effects that would be visible for miles.” – Detroit Free Press

Please check out the time lapse video that we created!

Before catching the fireworks, we grabbed some grub from Hot Taco which is a great place to visit.
