During our Challenge Detroit “boot camp” orientation week, we were introduced to not only our challenges with our non-profit partners, but a social media challenge as well. This meant promoting Detroit, and what we were doing in Detroit through social media outlets, like facebook, twitter, and my favorite, instagram. Now, I by no means am any sort of professional photographer. And my photos all happen to get taken with a smart phone camera. But, as they say, a picture is worth a thousand words. In looking back at the pictures I’ve taken of Detroit since starting the fellowship, I think my instagram feed does a great job of portraying so many reasons why Detroit is an amazing city and some of my favorite things about it. So, I’ve put together an instagram collage for your viewing of many of my favorite photos I’ve taken in Detroit since last fall.
