Recently we finished doing a challenge with The Future Project, a non-profit organization dedicated to helping youth build their dreams and make them reality. I was so impressed with the amount of talent and passion that the students in The Future Project had. Here are 3 reasons why Detroit needs The Future Project:

1. The youth in Detroit don’t need a handout, they need a hand-up.

-That is exactly what The Future Project provides! A platform for students to use their creativity to make their own situations better!

2. Diversity. Diversity. Diversity.

-Many of the students are Black. HOWEVER, they are not a monolith. They have diverse passions, backgrounds, and working styles. The Future Project nurtures all of them.

3. Where there is no vision, people perish.

Dreaming must be encouraged to keep the spirit of Detroit alive. The Future Projects teaches students the power of positive thinking, affirmations, and dreaming with a purpose!
