It’s hard to believe that I only have 3 month left with Challenge Detroit. With the warming months and impending deadline why not create a bucketlist of events I want to attend before the end of the summer:)
Tuesday Market at Eastern Market: Fresh Michigan produce, flowers, free wellness events, and food trucks make this a great lunchtime break.
Every Tuesday through October from 9:00am – 3:00pm at Eastern Market
Historic Indian Village Home & Garden Tour: This historic district includes Burns, Iroquois and Seminole Avenues from East Jefferson running one mile north to Mack Avenue. Although there are features on many homes that fall into a distinct architectural style, Indian Village can best be described as eclectic.
Saturday, June 6th 10:00am – 5:00pm and Sunday, June 7th 12:00pm – 5:00pm
Bikes & Yoga: Weekly, round-trip bike ride and yoga class on Belle Isle. Every Thursday after that until it becomes too cold to practice yoga outside.
5:30pm: Meet up at the Belle Isle Athletic Shelter/Fields
6:00pm: Depart for Belle Isle’s North Fishing Pier
6:45pm – 7:30pm: Yoga
7:30 – 7:45pm: Return bike ride back to Belle Isle Athletic Shelter/Fields
Detroit City FC: Detroit very own soccer club and better yet, fellow Fellow Zeke Harris is a Defenseman on the team.
Throughout the summer (see schedule) at Cass Tech High School
Jazz on the River: One of the premier Jazz Festivals in the Great Lakes Region. Celebrating 20 years this year, the festival takes place in Elizabeth Park in Trenton, Michigan
August 1 & 2
Let me know if you want to join!
