During the month of July, I worked with my fellow fellow, Ben Newton on creating the substructure and foundation for a company I’m creating. It focuses on real estate, but affects so much more. It helps people navigate distressed property, and focuses on the distressed/ overlooked parts of Detroit. While originating from my own experiences, I organically began helping others, while making my own strategic investments. The website for Detroit Denovo is meant to highlight a couple of my current projects, while showing the services the company can offer. It’s also going to be updated frequently with educational snippets of information.

Another project we worked on involved a set of classes set up for people looking to learn about real estate. Stay tuned for the upcoming outline and schedule.

Lastly, we compiled a list of bank-owned properties that are not “moving”. Banks are making the strategic decision to sit on properties and allow them to revert to tax auctions. These properties are scrapped, stripped, and left to decay in the meantime. Approaching these banks in an organized manner will allow us to present the possibility of marketing these properties directly, without the “extensive” overhead costs that prevent them from marketing the homes.

Stay tuned, and check out www.detroitdenovo.com in the meantime!
