So often we are taught that the decisions we make are individualistic in nature. What if there was a way to link the adversity that youth endure on a daily basis to the outcomes the perpetuate?

As a member of the Design Team at the United Way of Southeastern Michigan I was given the task of researching toxic stress and the effects adversity has on the development and well-being of children and soon to be adults. Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACES) accumulate amongst many impoverished youth and have devastating implications for productivity and well-being.

With that being said I share with you all a presentation I created to help us all understand what could possibly be the most tragic health risk facing America today. Please comment, critique and enjoy.
