Although the weather was less than ideal, I still wanted to showcase some of Detroit\u2019s attractions. There are numerous things to do in Detroit during pleasant weather, but here are a few places that can be enjoyed in all seasons, rain or shine.\u00a0<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center\"><strong>Eastern Market<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-25020 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.challengedetroit.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/eastern-market-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"312\" height=\"234\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><em>Shed 3 is full of local vendors!<\/em><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u00a0Eastern Market is open every Saturday 7AM to 4PM year round. Fun for all ages, Eastern Market is a great opportunity to shop and support local businesses. During the summer months, vendors are able to take advantage of the outdoor space, but if you are looking for a place to wal<\/span>k around even when the weather is less than ideal, Sheds 3 and 5 are a nice escape.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center\"><strong>Belle Isle<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">You might be surprised to see Belle Isle on a list of things to do in the winter, but the island offers a few indoor attractions that are sure to please. To add a cherry on top, all of the following are donation based entry fees.<\/span><\/p>\n<h4><strong>The Belle Isle Aquarium<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The nation\u2019s oldest aquarium is home to fish from all over the world. If you time your trip right, you can even watch the Piranhas get fed!<\/span><\/p>\n<h4><strong>Anna Scripps Whitcomb Conservatory<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u00a0<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Get your daily dose of greens here! This greenhouse is sure to cure the winter blues with the desert and tropical exhibitions.\u00a0<\/span><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-25019 aligncenter\" style=\"text-align: center\" src=\"https:\/\/www.challengedetroit.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/scripps-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><em>The Exhibition Room is great for parties, they even have a disco ball!<\/em><\/p>\n<h4><strong>Dossin Great Lakes Museum<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">A hidden gem! I didn\u2019t know about this museum until<\/span>\u00a0I went with my friend, and it is filled with fun and interactive exhibits. You can try your hand at steering a number of boats, from a canoe to a Great Lakes Freighter.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-25018 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.challengedetroit.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/IMG_6788-225x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"225\" height=\"300\" \/> \u00a0P<em>hoto of the author pretending to be a captain on the high seas<\/em><\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center\"><strong>Avalon Bakery<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Why not finish your day at one of Avalon\u2019s many locations throughout the city? Warm up with a coffee or tea or try one of their many baked goods.
