For me, I tend to think of fine arts, things found at the DIA (Detroit Institute of Arts) or MOCAD (Museum of Contemporary Art Detroit). The reality is that art exists all around us, in many forms, and not just inside the walls of museums. This past month I had the privilege to view the art collection at DMC (Detroit Medical Center). It was unexpected and powerful, used as a tool for healing.
