September was a busy month. New job, new home, new friends\u2026new responsibilities. And as I work on being responsible \u2013 keeping myself organized, paying the bills, balancing my checkbook , and vacuuming my new apartment \u2013\u00a0 I am above all, trying to be as active in my new home as possible. \u00a0Growing up 26.53 miles outside of New York City, I have always possessed this city-girl<\/i> mentality: explore new spots in different neighborhoods so that I can meet new people and be introduced to new things. Luckily Challenge Detroit tests this mentality of mine all the while, encouraging my new adventure and providing me a solid place to start.<\/p>\n
What I would like to do each month is just give a recap. I want to see the list but also share my choices and findings with you. Am I hoping to have a few favorites, of course! But I really want to push myself to explore this city to the max and work on not going to the same place twice because it\u2019s familiar, but rather because it was just that sensational that I want to revisit and introduce someone new.<\/p>\n
