So since I enjoy being analytical about things (refer to bottom), I decided to make a list of my possible options. Enjoy!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Should I write about:<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Things that I have done in the past month? <\/span><\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">This option is okay, but there has been so much that I couldn\u2019t possibly sum it up into one blog. How about some photos instead!<\/p>\n\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><b>What I have been doing at work?<\/b><\/span><\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Again, this is similar to the first. So much stuff has happened, so the best I can do is sum it up in a list<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"text-align: justify\">I met local business leaders at the 9th Annual 8MBA Golf Outing<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"text-align: justify\">I met the 8MBA Board of Director (which includes mayors from 13 local municipalities)<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"text-align: justify\">I redesigned the new business cards<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"text-align: justify\">I am in the process of creating a website from scratch [final link in future blog!]<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"text-align: justify\">I met with clients and I am now process of creating two fa\u00e7ade application renderings [images in future blog!]<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify\"><\/h3>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><b>Or, write about something that I have learned.<\/b><\/span><\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Okay, this one sounds better!!\u00a0 While there has been so much going on, one thing has particular struck a chord with me since the first Leadership Friday.\u00a0 So as a quick background, every Friday the Fellows meet and either participate in 1 of our 6 Challenges or engage in a Leadership Day.\u00a0 Leadership days give the Fellows and me the amazing opportunity to work with local leaders and professionals who are committed to help with my professional development.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">On our first official Leadership Friday, GM Bill Huffaker, the Director of Global Talent Management, came in to distribute the Hogan Assessment.\u00a0 The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hoganassessments.com\/content\/assessments\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Hogan Assessment<\/a> is a personality assessment tool that helps to \u201cmeasurement required to understand people\u2019s strengths, weaknesses, values, and approach to problem solving and accurately predict performance.\u201d\u00a0 The total assessment is comprised of four parts, each exam taking about 20-30 minutes to complete. Thus far, I have only taken 2 of the 4 exams, the HPI and the MVPI.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"text-align: justify\">The\u00a0<\/span><a style=\"text-align: justify\" href=\"http:\/\/www.hoganassessments.com\/?q=content\/hogan-personality-inventory-hpi\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Hogan Personality Inventory (HPI)<\/strong><\/a><span style=\"text-align: justify\">\u00a0is a measure of normal, or bright-side personality \u2013 qualities that describe how we relate to others when we are at our best.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"text-align: justify\">The\u00a0<\/span><a style=\"text-align: justify\" href=\"http:\/\/www.hoganassessments.com\/?q=content\/motives-values-preferences-inventory-mvpi\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Motives, Values, Preferences Inventory (MVPI)<\/strong><\/a><span style=\"text-align: justify\">\u00a0describes personality from the inside \u2013 the core goals, values, drivers, and interests that determine what we desire and strive to attain.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">While none of the results were shocking, it was freaky that what appeared to be such a simple true and false exam was actually extremely accurate. Below is a snapshot of some of my results for the assessment [for those of you who know me, be amazed at the accuracy!!]<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><i style=\"text-align: justify\">\u201cMs. Leveille is keenly interested in career advancement, evaluates herself in terms of what she has accomplished, hates wasting time, wants to make an impact on her organization and profession, and thinks strategically about how to make a difference.<\/i><\/li>\n<li><i style=\"text-align: justify\">She likes fast-paced change and new projects and doesn\u2019t like bureaucracy, restrictions, prohibitions and boring tasks.<\/i><\/li>\n<li><i style=\"text-align: justify\">She will be uncomfortable in jobs where no one cares about the image of the organization or the quality of its products.\u00a0 As a result, she will be most satisfied with a career where there are opportunities to demonstrate creative abilities [architecture] \u2026 and to analyze data and solve problems [research].<\/i><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Like I said, most of this information wasn\u2019t new news to me, but knowing that there is an assessment tool out there that can produce such accurate results, makes me truly excited to take a third exam during one of the next Leadership Fridays!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>As a new blogger, I was a little hesitant about what to write about in my first blog.
