One of my favorite weekends to date in Detroit happened on May 12-14. A weekend full of exercise, exploring, laughter, friends and family. Follow my story:
FRIDAY
- It all started with the launch of the Q-Line. Sue me but I think it is great.
- I strolled around Campus Martius for a mid day walk
- Spent the evening trolling through Corktown starting with Batch Brewery
- The night continued with deep talks over cheap beer at L J’s Lounge
- Walked over to Motor City Wine and enjoyed some Jazz
- Finished the night at McShane’s for some late night fries
SATURDAY
- Rode my bike to my brothers apartment (he just moved to Detroit and ITS AWESOME)
- Stumbled upon a skateboard event called Red Bull Hartlines that was super rad
- Continued on to an art lecture on the Jazz age at the DIA
- Got a beer and a Charcuterie board at the Kresge Court
- Rode my bike all the way home
- Walked to Belle Isle Pizza to finish my night with some New Girl and yummies
SUNDAY
- My parents drove up to Detroit for Mother’s Day!
- We started with breakfast at Rose’s Fine Foods
- Once we digested all the spectacular food we rode our bikes to Belle Isle
- The Tiller family got to witness the beautiful views of the Conservatory and the Aquarium
- We finished the day off with a drink on the new outdoor patio at Atwater Brewery
It. Was. Perfect.
