You’ve been in Detroit all of your life and not often do you leave your comfort zone. Yes, you hang out downtown and eat at some of the restaurants. But have you ever just taken the opportunity to explore the entirety of the city? There are so many magnificent things that the city has to offer from neighborhoods to shopping districts. There are outstanding places that you have to go see if you just put your guard down and be open to new experiences. In one week Challenge Detroit took you to a plethora of places that you never knew existed from coffee shops to movie theaters.

You must also not let individuals gauge where you should explore based off the media or the things that has happened in the past. People always want to say “there is no reason to travel to B-Mo”. Little did you know, Brightmoor is home of Artesian Farms which is an outstanding business that gives back to the community by employing those that live there. I bet you thought Old Redford had nothing to offer as well didn’t you? Well unfortunately you were wrong because Motor City Java House is so welcoming that you even have plans on hosting young professional mixers there. If it wasn’t for you stepping outside of your comfort zone, you wouldn’t have been able to find this location.

The point I’m trying to make here is that Detroit is such an amazing city. Over the past couple of years new businesses have found a home here, giving you a lot of reasons to explore. If we stick to just what we know we will never have the full effect of what new things this wonderful city has to offer. I challenge you step out, explore, and be the true “Detroiter” that we know you are.
